Maths - Planter Boxes

In Room 12b, we have been studying on planter boxes.

We had to measure out with a ruler on a piece of wood. Some people had 1-2-3 pieces, others had 1-2 or just one. Mr sutherland had prepared us with some wood to measure on. We decided to go into 12a to do the measuring, considering since there were still some old tables left from when the old food tech was in.
As we were just finishing / starting our measurements, we had to do a school one for everyone to use.

Me and Yasmin were working together and we decided to do 15cm up and 22cm across, we then drew it out on the computer and then planned it out on a piece of paper. Our volume of the box was - 7260.
(This was our home one)

Then me and Yasmin were moving on to doing the school one which was going to be put out on the sheppard courtyard. We decided to do the same as our home one because it was quite a good size. After all the drawing with pencil, we couldn't see as clearly. So, we decided to use a sharpie to outline it and it would be more clearer to cut and see.

After finishing all the wood pieces, we went back and the next time we came the pieces had been cut for us.
Using nails with a hammer we built the box together..until..
I nailed my bottom board onto the side.
We manuged to fix it and now a lot of people have them around the class for putting in Drink bottles, pencil cases, headphones..
Here are some pictures of what mine turned out to be -

Herbivores - Deer

𐂂 Herbivores  -  Deer  𐂂

If you don't know what herbivores are/mean then you'll learn by reading this..
A list of herbivores (These are some) -
Deer
Rabbits
American bison
European bison
African buffalo
Cattle
Tamaraw
Saola
Wisent

&
Yak.

Herbivores are pretty much animals that dont eat meat. They eat things like - Grass, hay, berries, vegetables, herbs, flowers. Me and Yasmin worked together and chose a herbivore that seemed interesting to work on so we chose deer.

Deers are quite an interesting animal, we found out that they were a herbivore from searching up a list of them and finding it. Deer seemed to be one of the easiest to work on because all the other animals we never heard of before. (Apart from cattle , rabbits and yak)

This is a part from our slide that is very surprising and is a paragraph of smart information -
The deer family is quite large, with 47 species, and includes caribou, elk, and moose. They are cloven-hoofed and they are identified by their antlers, long bodies, and necks, slender legs, and small tails.

Here is our slide - (I think you'll like the thank you one)

Workspace - Relevance and Reliability..

More than a month ago , we were focusing on being critical on websites that didn't seem real , Mr billings found 5 websites. Some were not real , while others are not fake and are a real company.

Then , we made a presentation and put all our thoughts onto each slide.  Some are quite obvious from the title..

These were what the 5 websites are called: The selfie shoe , tree octopus , Dehydrated water , The flat earth society and the dog island.

Here is my slide and my opinions about these websites. Enjoy!
