Useless Inventions

Nothing could ever be more useless than these ones that Room 12b have been writing about.
The butter stick , Shwepers , Shumbrellas and Handipants. They sound weird , and are quite useless.
Each person in our class had to chose just one of them to write and persuade the others to buy this invention. I chose butter stick , it seemed the most helpful thing that was there.

Here is my butter stick writing -

Have you ever thought of having a butter stick? Well now you can!
The butter stick is the most popular thing that is made from butter!

Why you need it , you say?

Well no knives are needed! Keep them for something else! Butter stick does all!
It saves dishes by no knives and its stain free! So the mother doesn’t need the chores, butter sticks are good in three ways - 1. Take off lid and butter on your food. 2. Put back on lid when finished buttering.  3. Slip back into pocket, and done!

So where do you put it?

It is portable and easily to slip into that little pocket of yours! It is much, much easier than normal butter. With no more heavy sticky butter, the stick has taken the lead of butter nation! Normal butter usually sticks to your pocket , but butter stick has the unique lid for all those trouble things!

Oh now you want the reviews? Interesting ..

People have had it and enjoyed it! They said great , and positive things about it!
(See , happy now? You’ve gotten those wonderful reviews!) They even insist on you getting it! Since they have been much easier than knives, butter sticks are actually 9.5 rated! Shame butter containers! Shame on you! Butter sticks are much better quality!
When going to get breakfast, and have some toast, they got no butter? Well luckily the butter stick invention saves everyone! (Well, only share if you want too.)
From all over the world butter sticks have gone viral!

They are also in shops! Ermahgerd! :0

With forgetting all those dairy butter containers, use the easy butter stick!
Especially with the ratings they won't be in stores for ages! So, get online, and stash as many butter sticks as you can before it's too late! Sold on ebay, with only 50 left, butter sticks are soon gone, forever…

HNI Speeches

In Room 12b , we entered into the HNI speech comp , and so far the three people chosen were - Aimee , Yasmin and Sophia. The rest of class still have their speeches , but three people share theirs at the house assembly. Then , Mr billings make a google spreadsheet for all the class to rate and put their opinion on the speeches that everyone had presented. Also , the topic was things related to the human body. For example - Immunisation , Snot/Boogers , obesity and more.

Here is my speech -

Do you see people coughing , sneezing or tried out? Maybe they haven’t had their immunisation. The people that can’t have it is either they are really unwell or have already had it done.

Immunisation is for letting your body know what the some diseases are and what they feel like when this disease comes to you. Some diseases are Rotavirus , Diphtheria and Tetanus. This immunisation will make sure you know what they do to you.
The vaccine causes the body immune system to produce its own protection against the three diseases. It is one injection given in the upper arm. Immunisation uses your body’s natural defence mechanism, the immune response, to build resistance to specific infections. If you have been immunised and you come into contact with that disease, your immune system will respond to prevent you developing the disease.

So , where do you get it from?
Well , everyone who is going to have it does it at school with the nurses.
Others have it done by their local doctor / nurse. Everyone needs to have it , but some can’t because they either got a reaction last time or their parents don’t want it.

So after all that nervous feeling , you feel okay right?
Well the common reaction you’ll have is just a sore arm for a while.
It’s almost rare to have a bigger reaction. This is what might happen;
Feeling woozy , a little sick , bigger reactions cause going to the hospital.

So , how can we help?
Our nurses are trained and ready for any reaction , if your woozy , they might help you with some water and sit for a bit. They are there to keep you company and safe.

So get out there and get your immunisation ,  much better to do it now then later!
Big reactions like that are rare , so you’ll only get a sore arm. If you get a disease without having immunisation , your body won’t know what's coming..

Hypothermia

In inquiry we had to focus and choose one disease and research about it. Then after that , we put all our questions and information onto a google slide. Here is my slide , also I focused mine on Hypothermia (Even though it's not really a disease) .
