Making our lungs.

In class we learnt about the human body.. 

For our inquiry tasks , We created lungs and for what they look like when we breathe. Some did green lungs , others did pink or red. 

What you need: 

- A plastic bottle (Mini pump bottle is used) 

- Two balloons (Any colour)

- Sellotape 

- Blu tack 

- Drinking straw (You don't actually drink from it)  

First you have the balloon and sellotape it inside the straw and make sure that it is airtight so no air can come through. 

Then you cut a little bit from the drink bottle and cut off a balloon blow up tube / hole and cover it over the hole. 

To finish this you put the blu tack on the top of the cup airtight and you are finished! 

 -The straw is the trachea (Its job is the passage from the lungs to the mouth / nose.
- The lungs use the air we breathe in. (The inside balloon is the lung)
 - The cup is our chest cavity.
