In room 12B , we all had to write a note to Ms Beaumont and tell her all the ideas why we need them , how we can buy them and where the extra money goes. So far , we are looking for four more of them (One has been kindly donated). Our eating area needs an upgrade!
Here is my letter to Ms Beaumont about them -
Dear Ms Beaumont ,
The whole of sheppard have requested something that would be quite useful..
Our eating area isn't the best and it would be easier to have tables that sitting on wood planks , also you could talk to more people and not have to turn around. Usually when we sit, someone sits on the ground because they can't lean all the way over to talk. Having tables would make it more simple to socialise. Also, when you eat, you have to balance your lunchbox on your knees , and that's not that fun to do. If you don't sit on your tiptoes then the lunchbox slips off!
Most of sheppard are going to do fundraisers, not for the school but maybe do it around the community. The teachers planned that if each person got $10 out of their fundraiser, then we could afford around 5 tables. Luckily, one company has nicely donated one, so we are ⅕ away from getting this finished. (The company did request that they had their company logo imprinted on it). Some things to fundraise could be selling homemade foods.
What about the extra money?
We could use it towards equipment for the classroom if we have enough. (Use money maybe for whiteboard markers, ink for the printer in the library and more).
Here are a few more suggestions -
- Donate some to the canteen to sell more food.
- Work it towards getting more P.E equipment.
- Whiteboard markers for classrooms.
- Ink for the library printer ( If it needs more at some point ).
